What we believe.

Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's Word, completely trustworthy and without error. It is the ultimate authority for all that we believe and practice in life.

Marriage

God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife, and is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and his bride the church.

God

The Bible teaches that one real and personal God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Church

The church is the people of God from all ages, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, the head of the church, also called "the body of Christ." Christians join together in local communities or churches to worship their Lord, to grow together in his likeness, and to enjoy serving him together.

Humans

The Bible teaches that human beings are created in the image of their Creator to enjoy God and honor him in their entirety. We are now estranged from the Creator through the overwhelming power of sin. Left to ourselves, we will perish forever.

Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return to the earth bodily in order to usher in the great consummation of all things. In that day He will sit in judgment over all peoples and nations, past and present.

Jesus

God the Son took on human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life, obeying God's law completely, suffered and died on the cross of Calvary, and then was raised bodily from the grave on the third day. He did this to accomplish salvation for his people.

Faith

Salvation is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by good works (though good works are evidence of a transformed life).
